Supreme Court Must Toss Keystone XL Ruling, Trump Officials Say

The Trump administration is calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to sideline a high-stakes Keystone XL ruling that has stunted permitting for oil and gas pipelines across the country.

Solicitor General Noel Francisco on Monday urged Justice Elena Kagan, who fields petitions arising in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, to freeze a lower court order that blocked a streamlined water permitting process for new pipelines.
